About Judy

Originally from New York City, Judy (she/her) has lived in Maine for 17 years, first in the midcoast, and in Gorham since 2018, when she joined TBE. She is a retired general and colo-rectal surgeon whose first career was as a professional ballet dancer. Judy has been an active
member of several prior congregations, both in Maine and in Plattsburgh, NY.

She has volunteered as a CASA (guardian ad litem) and as a consumer mediator for the state of Maine. She is currently the president of her HOA, consisting of 60 units.

Judy is the proud mother of two sons, one in Massachusetts, who has provided her with two grandsons, and one in New York.

She is a serious competitive ballroom dancer and enjoys domestic and foreign travel, language study and visiting with her grandsons. She and her partner, Nadia Margolis, live in Gorham with their 11 year old lab-beagle mix.
